Jewel Mische Undergoes Star Magic's Acting Workshop


Former GMA / Kapuso artist Jewel Mische has started her first assignment as a new ABS-CBN / Kapamilya talent, and that is to undergo an extensive workshop.

Last Thursday, Jewel already submitted herself for a workshop under
Star Magic, her new management, along with other talents.

Jewel is the latest "Starstruck" graduate to transfer to ABS-CBN following Paul Salas, Megan Young, Cristine Reyes, Johan Santos, Tyrone Perez and Piero Vergara.

But unlike them, Jewel was a grand winner of StarStruck, during its 4th Season, which also had Aljur Abrenica, Kris Bernal and Mart Escudero as winners or what the show called as Ultimate Survivors.

Thus, Jewel is the 1st StarStruck winner to move to ABS-CBN.

It's understandable why Jewel has always wanted to switch networks since 3rd quarter of 2010 because she was never given the best break while with GMA 7, where she was under contract for more than 3 years.

Other than being a StarStruck winner, the 20-year-old actress is only best known as the ex-girlfriend of Richard Gutierrez.

So maybe with ABS-CBN, Jewel will finally shine at her brightest.

Nothing is final yet, but she is said to be joining an existing primetime Kapamilya teleserye soon.

And for a potential loveteam, Jewel is reportedly going to be paired up with Gerald Anderson.

Sheena is still under contract I think.

I wanted Iza Calzado and Chynna Ortaleza ages back but they are still stuck on GMA. Iza is finally... finally being used properly on GMA... she's too talented for that network to be wasted for that long.

We only added a few Kapusos recently to our Kapamilya stable so I don't see much of an issue.

They should stay where they belong? Ummm... bro, that is really hash. Let's be nice to the newcomers to the network as well as their fans that recently joined!

Kumpirmadong Kapamilya na ang StarStruck 4 Ultimate Sweetheart na si Jewel Mische.

Matagal-tagal na ring usap-usapan ang tungkol sa paglipat ni Jewel mula sa GMA-7 papunta sa ABS-CBN, bagamat wala pang opisyal na pahayag mula sa young actress at maging sa Star Magic, kung saan nabalitang pumirma siya ng kontrata.

Kaninang gabi, December 3, sa Christmas party ng ABS-CBN para sa entertainment press na ginanap sa Dolphy Theater, pormal nang inanunsiyo ang magiging unang proyekto ni Jewel bilang isang Kapamilya—ang action series na Bagwis.

Si Jewel ang magiging leading lady ng isa sa top male stars ngayon ng ABS-CBN—si Gerald Anderson.

JEWEL’S TIME TO SHINE

ABS-CBN also presented a line up of new shows for the first quarter of 2011, including one game show to be hosted by Kris Aquino, a local franchise of the long-running “The Price is Right.” Of course, PBB house is again opening its doors, and new exciting faces will be launched. The pretty Jessy Mendiola is first as “Sabel” (a take off of Regal’s “Bata Pa si Sabel” which launched Snooky Serna as an adult star), while jumper Jewel Mische will be Gerald Anderson’s new leading lady in a new series.

A lot of people are positive about Jewel’s move. She was “StarStruck” grand winner (survivor), but because of her secret romance with GMA prime actor, Richard Gutierrez, her career had to take a backseat. After they broke up, ABS jumped the gun and bring her to the fold. “Mas magniningning si Jewel sa ABS,” says one critic.
