but it lead to an impeachment trial...

    he was lucky...

    technicalities acquitted him...

guilty or not he did something that doesn't speak well of a president...

    He cheated his wife...

    Well...how about Ronald Reagan and his Iran-Contra Affair?...[http://www.infoplease.com/spot/scandal5.html, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran-Contra_Affair]

How about George Bush?...His office was accused of holding information connected to 9/11 prior to the attacks...

    Re: US scnadals resign kaagad!

who said cheating a wife is impeachable...?

    I didn't say that...

Read statements carefully before you jump to judgements...

What I said is that a leader who cheats a wife doesn't speak well of him being a leader...(I guess you're old enough to know why...So i don't have to explain...)

...and do you think that a case of selling weapons to the country you are at war with...(Iran-Contra Affair)...isn't grave enough?

I don't know what you are enumerating...Maybe you know more about America more than me because you live there. I expected you to know more...especially to know the fact that a good number of big scandals in America didn't lead to resignations...

...and what if you're a Democrat?...It doesn't change the fact that America is still ruled by a Republican...

You see it's not just in the Philippines prince...Look at your own "Backyard"!

That's an illegal, therefore, he will be held responsible for his action. Ang totoo talaga maraming mahihirap sa atin at syempre they will take the money just to shut their mouth. At dahil dito, hindi talaga magresign ang presidente kasi hindi nagkaka-isa ang mga tao.

Prince, It is not the “Cheating sa asawa” that is impeachable it is on the grounds of “IMMORALITY”.

Well, seriously, I don't care who he/she will replace Gov. Spitzer or if that will be Lt. Gov. David Paterson to replace him, then be it. And it's unlawful to discriminate anybody just because of his/her race, religion, gender or a handicap person as just like you said a "bulag". The important here if he will be able to do the job as a governor. And I think you should not comment to an honorable person like that. You disgust yourself and to other filipinos living in the US. You should think before you let out your comment, buddy!

I live in Japan and somehow numerous scandals had emerged here but usually involving big corporate companies and their stewards. Not all cases ended in resignations but a good number  concluded with convicted personalities that have ended up in prisons.  Resignations here in a large percentage are not self-decided cases but usually "forced-resignations" decided by a group of people(like board of directors of a company..etc.). Personally made resignations here are those who had succumbed to pressure or were usually humbled by facts that were used as strong evidences. A good number also ended in suicides.

What I like about the people here is that they are very paticular with facts and figures. They tend to only believe in things that were strongly proven.. They seldom lash out at someone when they cannot present to it that the alleged is true.

    Anyway...

certain forms of corruption exists in every society even in children( like bullies..etc.)....Its agreeable that pati na rin mga normal natin mga kababayan are in a some ways doing it. Eliminating corruption doesn't only begin with the government but with every Filipino himself instilling discipline and stopping the "little things"  which are in some technalities a form of corruption...

it's true, but the gov't plays a bigger role sa community, kung ang pera na dapat sa dev ng community, especially sa mga nangangailangan, pero napupunta lang sa corrupt, papaano na sila....
