    Where Do Our Taxes Go?

Don’t you just hate where you taxes go?  Look at it this way. You work hard to earn, and before you even get you pay check, a huge percentage has already been taken out as tax.  When you use this hard earned money, you get charged for VAT, e-Vat or whatever vat there is. It’s a double edged blade that cuts you…

Where do these taxes go? I honestly don’t know… Our country is behind in debt, the police who get their salaries from the taxes, are the same people who extort money from the citizens (Imagine paying them to extort money from others) from Taxi drivers and other drivers (these people earn an honest living for your info) how can you expect those who we trusted to protect and serve are actually the ones who we are supposed to be protected from.

The most sickening part is our leadership… Money here, money there! My God! Look around… we need school for our future generations, we need medical facilities, our farmers need support.  In general, our country and people need a lot. If only these were put into good, humanitarian and honest use, this country would be far progressive.  This is one of the country where the LAW can be bought. Voter, the Police, judges, political leaders, the president and others…

Re: Where Do Our Taxes Go?

Where do your taxes go? In case you haven't figured it out yet, your government doesn't care about you. It never has and it never will. Your taxes go toward propping up the corrupt Arroyo government - mostly campaign contributions to herself as in the 728-million peso fertilizer subsidy, half-million peso bags of money to LGUs and batasan members (as exposed by Among Ed) to avoid impeachment, payoffs to top AFP and PNP generals for their support in case of a coup (note: the money goes to general officers only not to enlisted soldiers or junior officers).

If you were to ask for TRANSPARENCY and ACCOUNTABILITY of this parasitic regime (or any regime for that matter), the answer is "it's all smoke and mirrors and we like to keep it that way". Wink

Success is not final. Failure is not fatal. It's the courage to continue that counts.
