NINETEEN years old na si Rachelle Ann Go last Aug. 31, pero feeling niya ay hindi pa siya talaga handa para pumasok sa isang seryosong relas-yon tulad ng pakikipag-boyfriend na hahantong sa kasalan.

Sa ngayon daw, ang relasyon nila ng kanyang "boyfriend" na si Christian Bautista ay isang "puppy love" lang.

"Takot talaga ako sa serious relationship. Takot kasi akong mag-asawa. Kagagaling lang ni Ra-chelle sa isang very successful performing tour sa US and two Australian cities kasama ang iba pang singing champions. Ngayon ay abalang-abala siya sa pagbuo ng kanyang ikalawang album and is also busy with her hosting chores sa TV show na Search for a Star in A Million on ABS-CBN

"Wish ko sa birthday ko ngayon na sana ay matapos this year ang aking second al-bum at matupad na ang pangarap kong concert sa Araneta Coliseum," ayon pa kay Rachelle Ann.

Maliban sa pagsasabing takot siyang mag-asawa dahil takot nga siyang magkaroon ng anak, wala na siyang nabanggit pa tungkol sa kanilang relasyon ni Christian Bautista.

AFTER striking it big with a succession of four hit singles from her debut album, "Search for a Star" champion Rachelle Ann Go is now basking in the glow of her victory as the People’s Choice for Favorite Female Artist at the 2005 MTV Pilipina Video Music Awards for her rendition of "Love of My Life."



The event was held last Thurs-day, August 25 at the Araneta Coliseum and Rachelle Ann was also one of the featured perfor-mers. It came as an early birthday present for she sings who turned 19-years-old on Aug. 30.

"Love of My Lofe" is a cover of a hit song by South Border and was composed, arranged and pro-duced by the group’s front man Jay Durias. It is one of the cuts in the "Rachelle Ann Go" album and has now joined the growing list of the young singer’s successive big sellers. These are "Don’t Cry Out Loud," (You and Me) We Wanted It All," a duet with Christian Bautista, "From the Start" and her latest, "Here I Am Again."

Composed arranged and produced by former Neocolors members Jimmy Antiporda, "Here I Am Again" presents a more grown-up and sassy Rachelle Ann, who still retains her sweet, romantic side. It is her first R&B song and departs from the soaring ballad that she has become famous for. Antiporda also did, "Give It All," the only hip hop cut in her album.

Rachelle Ann has just returned from a successful performing tour the United States and two Austra-lian cities with the other singing champions. She has started work on her second album and is also busy with her hosting chores in the TV show "Search for a Star in a Million" on ABS-CBN together with Sheryn Regis, Mark Bautista and Erik Santos and of the TV variety show "ASAP" also at ABS-CBN. She was also chosen Best Fe-male Pop Artist at the 23rd Annual People’s Choice Awards by the National Consumers Quality Awards.

MAKABILI ng bahay ang inaambisyon ni Rachelle Ann Go ngayon. Ang napanalunan niyang bahay nang manalo siya sa Search for A Star ay kanilang ibenenta dahil malayo sa kanyang trabaho. Naghahanap na sila ng lote na mabibili at pagtatayuan ng bahay.

Nagkaroon pala ng dagdag na sigla si Rachelle na tapusin sa madaling panahon ang kanyang second album sa Viva Records, nang manalo siyang Favorite Female Artist sa 2005 MTV Pilipinas Video Music Awards for her rendition of the song Love of My Life. Regalo raw niya sa mga bumoto sa kanya ang maagang pagkatapos ng kanyang album. Namimili na ang Viva Records ng songs na puwede niyang i-revive at male singer na puwede niyang maka-duet.

Kinumusta namin kay Rachelle ang ardent suitor niyang si Christian Bautista. Hindi pa niya formally sinasagot ang binata na sa salita at gawa ipinapakitang mahal siya. Every week, buong buwan ng Agosto, bago dumating ang birthday niya noong Aug. 31 ay binigyan siya ng iba't ibang regalo.

Nang makausap namin si Rachelle, two days before her birthday, kaya curious kaming malaman kung ano ang final birthday gift sa kanya ni Christian.

RACHELLE Ann Go turned 19 on August 30 and she got an early birthday present when she won as Favorite Female Artist in the 2005 MTV Pilipinas Video Music Awards held at the Araneta Coliseum for her song, "Love of My Life." This is her second award after winning Best Female Pop Artist at the 23rd Annual People's Choice Awards by the National Consumers Quality Awards.

"It was totally unexpected," she says. "I was up against Nina, Kyla and Kitchie Nadal, so I thought sila ang mananalo as I admit na sikat sila. I was about to leave when my name was called and when I went up on stage, I had to grope for words kasi I didn't prepare any thank you speech. But of course, I'm very grateful to all those who voted for me by text and e-mail."

"Love of My Life" is the sixth single from her self-titled debut album that spawned hits like "Don't Cry Out Loud," "You and Me We Wanted It All," "From the Start" and, "Here I Am Again." It is a cover of a hit song by South Border and arranged for her by the group's main man, Jay Durias. When Rachelle won, her suitor, Christian Bautista, also won as Favorite Male Artist. How does it feel that they both won at the same time?

"Nakakatuwa and our fans feel so happy about it."

Christian has admitted that he's wooing her. What are his chances? "It's hard for me to commit now. I'm scared because I know we're both so busy. Lalo siya, busy taping for his TV show. We might not have the time lang."

Is it because she has another suitor in Jed Madela, who just won several awards in a Hollywood competition? "No. Jed has sent me flowers and a teddy bear. But I haven't heard from him since he went to the US."

Her colleague, Sarah Geronimo, will have a solo concert at Araneta soon. How about her? "I have no plans yet. Baka hindi ko pa kaya."

Does she think Sarah is capable of filling up the Big Dome? "Sa tingin ko, mapupuno niya."
How come she's not guesting in it? "She didn't invite me naman. If she did, I'd go."

Rachelle has just returned from hit shows in the US and Australia. In October, Vehnee Saturno is taking her to Kazakhstan to compete in an international singing competition.
