Maiintriga pang lalo si Christian kapag naging superstar sa Indonesia at sa ibang Asian countries. Sikat siya sa Indonesia ngayon at top seller ang album at kabisado ng fans ang lahat ng songs sa kanyang album pati, Tagalog songs.

Dahil nga sikat doon, gagawa siya ng TV special at gagawa ng album in Bahasa. Heto pa, kinuha at pumirma na siya ng kontrata sa Bubu Chikka, isang telecom company sa Indonesia. Gagamiting rin ang boses at kanta niya sa Indonesia na for sure, mas magpapasikat sa kanya.

Sa grand final’s night ng Indonesian Idol nung nakaraang Agosto 12, isa si Christian Bautista sa mga naging ispesyal na panauhin. Inawit niya sa nasabing okasyon ang kanyang hit song na "The Way You Look at Me" at ang "Bahasa Cinta" kasama ang mga babaeng finalists at naka-dueto rin niya ang Indonesian Idol grand winner na si Delon.

Sikat na sikat sa Indonesia si Christian, ang kanyang album at mga pinasikat na awitin. Nakatakda niyang i-record sa Ingles sa Warner Music Indonesia ang dalawang Indonesian songs ng top Indonesian composer, musician at arranger na si Andi Rianto. Ang kanyang album sa Warner Music Philippines ay umabot na sa platinum sa Indonesia na bumenta ng mahigit 75,000 copies. Ni-repackaged din sa Indonesia ang kanyang album at kasama na rito ang newly-produced videos ng "Hands to Heaven" at "Colour Everywhere".

May ongoing negotiation na rin sa isang telecom company sa Indonesia para sa mga ring tones at ring backs ng boses ni Christian at mga sikat na awitin nito. Ang album ni Christian ay nakatakda ring i-release sa iba pa nating mga kalapit-bansa tulad ng Thailand at Malaysia.

KINUMPIRMA ng aming Thai friend na sikat na sikat sa Thailand ang kanta (The Way You Look At Me) ni Christian Bautista dahil palagi itong pinatutugtog sa mga radio, pero hindi nila alam ang itsura ng Filipino singer.

Wala rin silang idea na Pilipino si Christian dahil hindi nabibili sa Thai record bars ang kanyang mga album. Nalaman lang ng aming Thai friend ang impormasyon na Pilipino si Christian mula sa kapwa Thai national na palaging nagpupunta sa Pilipinas at nakabili ng album ng Pinoy singer.

Nagbilin ang kaibigan namin na padalhan siya ng CD album ni Christian dahil paborito niya ang The Way You Look At Me.

Bigla palang nag-increase ng talent fee si Christian Bautista nang ‘sumikat’ ito sa Indonesia. Isang source ang nagkuwento na P500,000 na ang asking prize sa isang out of town show. Medyo na-shock nga raw ang Cebu producer sa laki ng budget pero wala na silang choice dahil naayos na nila ang sked.

Ang reason daw ni Carlo Orosa, manager ni Christian kung bakit mahal ang budget nila ay dahil sikat na si Christian sa ibang bansa.

Ayon pa sa source nang humihingi raw ng discount ang producer, no agad ang answer ng manager ni Christian.

Ito rin daw ang rason kung bakit ilang beses na-postpone ang concert nito sa Cebu. Pero since na-out na ang ticket kaya itinuloy na lang ang concert kahit medyo namahalan ang produ. Kaya lang ang ending, nalugi ang produ dahil sa laki ng production cost plus talent fee ni Christian tapos di naman masyadong tinao ang concert.

Christian Bautista's asking price 'too high'

Christian Bautista's talent fee has shot up following his successful shows in Indonesia. My source tells me that his asking price for an out-of-town concert is now P500,000.

One Cebuano producer found the fee too high and tried to haggle with Christian's manager, Carlo Orosa. But Carlo put his foot down. The producer had no choice but to give in because the concert had already been postponed twice. Besides, the tickets for the new date had already been distributed.

My source said the poor producer ended up losing a lot because the show did not draw that big a crowd. Why is Christian asking that high a fee? Carlo claims Christian's value has gone up because he has acquired a big following abroad.

Pati nga ang pag-arte ay pinasok na rin niya dahil kasama siya sa fantaseryeng Kampanerang Kuba , kung saan isa siya sa mga leading men ni Anne Curtis .

“Medyo affected pero I make it a point na kapag hindi ako nakasalang, nagbu-vocalize ako para continuous ‘yung practice.”

Aminado si Christian na medyo nahihirapan nga siyang pagsabayain ang acting at singing pero aniya nag-i-enjoy naman siya. Nahihirapan nga lang daw siya sa schedule dahil sa dami ng mga commitments. In fact, this September ay lilipad na naman siya patungong ibang bansa.

“I'll be leaving on September to October papuntang Indonesia . From there I will proceed to the Stars In A Million The Reunion concert sa Amerika.”

Ano naman ang gagawin niya sa Indonesia?

“Request daw kasi ng mga fans doon na makita nila ako nang personal, so pagbibigyan ko. Flattering nga para sa akin na hanggang du'n may mga humahanga sa akin. Mag-gi-guest din ako sa isa sa mga show nila du'n, ‘yung Indonesian Idol and then I'll d TV special. Nakipag-usap sila sa recording company ko rito that's why I'm proud to be a Pinoy talaga. Iilan lang daw kaming Filipino singers na hinahangaan doon, hinid lang naman ako, dahil mas kilalang-kila na nila roon si Jose Mari Chan at ang song niyang Beautiful Girl , si Basil Valdez sa You , si Freddie Aguilar sa Anak at ang VST & Co. ”

Isang malaking karangalan nga raw kay Christian ang mahanay sa mga sikat na Filipino singers na Indonesia . Mapalad siya dahil nagustuhan ng mga Indonesian ang estilo ng kanyang pagkanta.

”Gusto kasi nila ‘yung- Josh Groban na style of singing ko kasi gusto rin nila ang Groban songs du'n. nalaman ko na ang mga fans dito sa atin. Kapag nagustuhan ka nila hindi lang P500,000 copies ng CD ang puwedeng mabenta, milyon na. Kaya nga nasa plano ng ng Warner Music sa akin na mag-record ako sa Indonesia sa language nila roon.”

May nagsabi sa amin na nu'ng nasa Amerika sina Christian at Rachelle Ann Go ay madalas daw silang magkadikit. Ibig sabihin ba ay sinagot na siya ng dalaga?

“Hindi pa naman kami. We're just happy being close and special to each other. I like her because she's very kind, sweet, talented, beautiful at mapagmahal sa family.

Naunang umalis nung September 28 si Christian Bautista dahil nagkaroon ito ng earlier shows sa LA at San Diego kung saan naman nito nakasama ang award-winning actor/singer na si Christopher de Leon at ang LA based singer na si Sheryl Marie.

Naging sunud-sunod ang pagtungo ni Christian sa Amerika na kanyang sinimulan nung isang taon (October) sa Night of the Champions na sinundan ng Return of the Champions nung nakaraang Hunyo at ang Kapamilya Caravan nung nakaraang Hulyo.

Isa si Christian sa pinaka-in demand among our young singers. Hindi lamang dito sa Pilipinas kundi maging sa ibang bansa lalung-lalo na sa Indonesia at iba pang Asian countries. Sold out din ang kanyang CDs nang ito’y magtanghal sa Amerika.

Christian Bautista's singing career is doing great guns. He not only conquered the local market but his
popularity extended into foreign shores. He's very popular in Indonesia where he is treated like an international star. In view of this, Stages is presenting Christian in a thanksgiving concert to be held at the Music Museum on November 11 and 12 at 8 p.m. titled "Heartfelt."

This is going to be an intimate concert that will serve as Christian's way of saying thank you to his legion of fans who not only made him a certified hit maker but also made him popular not only in the Philippines but also in other parts of the Asian region. Christian is also joining Sharon Cuneta as special guest in the megastar's concert to be held at University of Guam Fieldhouse on November 6.

After fresh triumphs abroad - a successful stint on Indonesia's own version of "American Idol" and an extensive concert tour of the U.S. - Christian Bautista returns home, and celebrates his 24th birthday, with a personal "pasalubong" to his loyal fans. STAGES, Christian's management team, is producing "Heartfelt" - an intimate evening of love songs, personally chosen by the Romantic Balladeer and requested by his fans, at the Music Museum on November 11 and 12.

For two romantic evenings, Christian will be serenading his devoted listeners, with a line-up of songs that includes "One Last Cry," "You To Me Are Everything," and "If Ever You're In My Arms Again," as an expression of his heartfelt gratitude for their continuous patronage of his music and various projects. Talented Coca-Cola girl and MYX VJ Nikki Gil, and another Trumpets Playshop's young talent Sam Concepcion will be his special guests.

The intimate atmosphere of this concert will be a refreshing change for the "Star In A Million" alumnus, after months of non-stop performances in stadium-sized venues here and abroad. "'Heartfelt' will be all about the fans," says Christian. "I'm in constant awe of how generous they are with their time, and expressions of support. I really haven't thanked them enough."

Christian's growing following stayed behind him even after "Star In A Million" and saw him race past many of his contemporaries in the industry with a record-breaking speed. Before long, his albums were going platinum not just in the Philippines but in another Asian country as well.
