Bryan Termulo: Next ‘undies prince’?

AT LONG LAST – Bryan Termulo, 25, is thrilled that at long last he has a title: “Prince of Teleserye Theme songs.”
BRYAN TermuloThe title is well deserved, Bryan having sung the themes of so many ABS-CBN soaps, “Walang Hanggan,” “100 Days,” and “Juan de la Cruz,” among others. He’s in the cast of the upcoming Judy Ann Santos starrer “Against All Odds,” but Bryan isn’t sure if he’s singing its theme song.
Bryan used to be a GMA talent, product of “Pinoy Pop Superstars,” but his career didn’t prosper there. When he joined ABS-CBN, things perked up, cast in teleseryes, an “ASAP” regular, and an LP for Star Records.
He reminded that years back he auditioned for ABS-CBN’s “Star Circle Quest” but didn’t make it.
‘PRINCE OF UNDIES’ — At his presscon, Bryan was asked if going sexy is one of his plans. Bryan smiled, “Yes, after all other actors do it. But not anytime soon. I want to concentrate first on singing.”
He said, “I don’t want to be known as Prince of Undies. Not yet, anyway.”
This is in response to the observation that if he really intends to go sexy in the future, then be an underwear model, “Talbugan mo si Jake Cuenca.”
Also, don’t drop your pants when you’re 40 or so. Do it soon, while you’re still sexy… and fresh.
SOLO CONCERT — Bryan’s preparing for his first solo (and birthday) concert, “Bryan Termulo XXV” on March 9 at the Music Museum, Greenhills, San Juan. Aside from the usual teleserye themes, he’ll sing rock, jazz, hip hop, pop tunes.
He’ll also dance (breakdance), “Although I’m really not a dancer.”
Bryan said he was looking for a chance to invite Regine Velasquez to his concert, “I look up to her. We are both from Bulacan.”
Like Regine, Bryan started in amateur singing contests, “Niligid ko ang lahat yata ng barangay sa Bulacan.” He’s from Marilao.
If there’s one singer in whose footsteps he wants to follow its Christian Bautista, “Pati sa ibang bansa kilala siya.”
SECOND ALBUM — “Bryan Hanggang Ngayon” is his second album, produced by BWB and distributed by Star Records.
It has eight cuts, packaged like a postcard, with pictures and hand-written lyrics.
He requested Star Records to include his hits, “Dadalhin” and “Hanggang Ngayon” as bonus track.
Bryan is being co- managed by Raul Leynes and Star Magic, whose PR is Thess Gubi.
TRINITY STUDENT — Bryan is junior at Trinity University of Asia, taking up Communication Arts.
When his career was going nowhere, he was determined to be a nurse and work abroad. But when it picked up at ABS-CBN, Bryan realized there was no way he could do his practicum, work in a hospital. He shifted to comarts and hopes to graduate next year.
Good move. Nothing like a good education as fall back.
By the way, he also invited Angeline Quinto and Erik Santos to his March 9 concert. Angeline said yes, “Provided I cook sinigang for her.”
Wonder what Erik asked.
