Judy Ann Santos talks about ‘I Do’, her fitness regimen, and love advice for Kris Aquino

May swimming lessons din si Juday twice or thrice a week.

“Dadating ang love at the most unexpected time and at the most unexpected moment at kapag ready na ang puso mo.”

Judy Ann Santos will be doing the remake of the horror classic film Tiyanak

I watched last night at Aquino and Abunda Tonight that Judy Ann Santos confirms that she will doing the remake of Tiyanak helmed by the direction of the original director of the said film, Peque Gallaga. Juday said that it is one of her bucket list to work with direk Peque that's why she is very exited to do the film. Shooting of the film will start in September and have a tentative play date this November.

Tiyanak is a classic horror film by Peque Gallaga that was release by Regal films in 1988. The original film was led by Janice De Belen and the famous line "Anak ni Janice" was tagged in this film. Meanwhile Judy Ann Santos is busy prepping up for her new realiserye I Do that will air on August 30. Judy Ann will not only be a host but will also sit as one of the members of the council. So let's cross our fingers that the remake of Tiyanak with Juday will push through. It's been a while that we see Juday on a big screen. An actress like her deserves a quality comeback film so lets hope for the best.

Judy Ann Santos works with Tom Rodriguez, Solenn Heussaff in reboot of T'yanak
By Jocelyn Dimaculangan

Judy Ann Santos will try her hand at horror as she topbills T'yanak, a reboot of the 1988 classic film co-directed by Peque Gallaga and Lore Reyes.

Aside from Juday, this horror flick also stars Tom Rodriguez, Solenn Heussaff and Sid Lucero.

Juday and Solenn recently took part in the script reading for the project and they are scheduled to have their first shooting day on September 2.

Tiyanak, the original movie that starred Janice de Belen, was about a childless woman who took care of an abandoned baby that turned out to be a demon in disguise.

The 1988 film won the Gawad Urian Award for Best Sound.

The 2014 version is again co-directed by Direk Peque and Direk Lore. In the film, a quiet town called Puting Bato is terrorized by savage murders. The chief suspect is the foundling baby who is under the care of Julie (played by Judy Ann Santos).

Her brother Mark (played by Tom Rodriguez) and his fiancee Madie (played by Solenn Heussaff) become the target of the T’yanak.

A widower who lost his wife in a vicious T’yanak attack (Sid Lucero) adds a brutal layer of terror in a town already petrified by fear.

In a 2008 interview published by the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Direk Peque revealed that he wanted to remake his movie Tiyanak. He was quoted as saying: “In my original Tiyanak, we used hand puppets. With all the digital wizardry now, it would be fantastic, a lot more sophisticated."

T'yanak is one of the films that will take part in the Horror Festival organized by the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).
