Armoza's I Can Do That! Set for the Philippines
TEL AVIV: ABS-CBN in the Philippines has commissioned the Israeli format I Can Do That! from Armoza Formats.
The local version will be produced in-house. It marks the first time that ABS-CBN has picked up an Israeli format and also the first format from Armoza to air in the Philippines. The prime-time studio entertainment shows takes a group of celebrities and challenges them to perform show-stopping live acts each week.
Leng Raymundo, VP of program acquisitions and international sales at ABS-CBN, said “We are elated to start this project with Armoza Formats. As with any other formats we have adapted, ABS-CBN is excited to bring another successful format to give a new experience to our Filipino viewers worldwide.”
Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, added, “We’re thrilled to be expanding the reach of I Can Do That! in Asia and to be extending into new markets. We look forward to creating a strong relationship with ABS-CBN and to seeing their adaptation.”
Armoza gameshow goes to Philippines
ABS-CBN, the largest broadcaster in the Philippines, has commissioned a local version of an Israeli gameshow format from Armoza Formats. I Can Do That! is in production in 15 countries
I Can Do That! will be produced in-house at ABS-CBN and marks the first time the broadcaster has acquired an Israeli format.
The show takes groups of celebrities and challenges them to perform live acts that prove there’s nothing they can’t do. It is currently in production in 15 countries, including the US, Mexico and, most recently, Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
It will be the first Philippine version of an Armoza format but follows other recent Asian commissions including gameshow Who’s Asking?, which recently launched in Thailand and India, and The Gran Plan, which got a multi-territory deal in Australia, Singapore, India and the Philippines.
i'm guessing they're going to pit this against Wowowin. But I'd rather see this on weekend prime time.
