Meet the New Cast of Goin' Bulilit | Nine New Kids Join the Fun Every Sunday

Posted on June 5, 2013 | 6:48 PM

ABS-CBN’s longest-running kiddie gag show, “Goin’ Bulilit” strengthens its campaign for fun-filled and wackier Sunday nights starting this week as it welcomes nine kids as part of its cast.

“Most of the kids are only five years old so the viewers can expect spontaneous antics from these cute bulilits” says Ricky Victoria, Creative Manager of “Goin’ Bulilit.”

The new Goin' Bulilit Kids

The show has been tickling the young and young-at-heart for more than eight years now. When it marked its anniversary last February, another batch of grown-up kids ‘graduated’ from the program. This group included Kobi Vidanes, Joseph Andre Garcia, Aaron Juntas, Alexa Ilacad and Angel Sy.

In the same month, auditions were held to discover a new batch of child stars that will complete the cast lineup. Thousands of kids flocked in the auditions, from which only 12 children were chosen.

Victoria says, “After a series of meticulous workshops, the list was narrowed down to nine kids.”

Victoria also says that the kids were chosen on the basis of their acting, singing and dancing skills, as well as natural ‘charm’ and ‘charisma.’

Child actor JB Agustin, main star of the recently-concluded top-rating fantasy series “Little Champ” will also join the show, together with Aldred Nasayao, CX Navarro, Lance Lucido, Aaliyah Belmoro, Allyson Mcbride, Ashley Sarmiento, Jillian Aguila and Kazumi Porquez.

Meanwhile, join this coming Sunday’s (June 9) episode of “Goin’ Bulilit” features a back-to-school theme packed with campus-oriented gags and sketches. Don’t miss “Goin’ Bulilit” every Sunday on ABS-CBN Channel 2 after “TV Patrol Weekend.”

'Little Champ' star, 8 others join 'Goin Bulilit'

MANILA, Philippines -- The country's longest-running kiddie gag show "Goin' Bulilit' welcomed its new cast members on Wednesday as the show introduced its newest kids dubbed "Lucky 9."

Child actor JB Agustin, the star of the recently concluded fantasy series "Little Champ," will now join the show together with Aldred Nasayao, CX Navarro, Lance Lucido, Aaliyah Belmoro, Allyson McBride, Ashley Sarmiento, Jillian Aguila and Kazumi Porquez.

According to the show's director, Franco Mortiz, he is really proud of the latest batch of "Goin Bulilit" kids.

The "lucky 9" were selected from more than 3,000 kids who auditioned for the show.

For its June 9 episode, "Goin Bulilit" features a back-to-school theme packed with campus-oriented gags and sketches.

"Goin Bulilit" airs every Sunday after "TV Patrol Weekend."

“GOIN’ BULILIT” STAR CHA-CHA CANETE TO REPRESENT THE PHILIPPINES IN HOLLYWOOD

 July 4, 2013 2:40 pm

Hollywood’s “Olympics” in the world of Performing Arts is set to run this July 12 until July 21, and one of the Philippines’ very own young talents, Cha-Cha Canete, has been selected to compete in the Junior Division of the 17th World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA).

Cha-Cha, only eight years old, is a mainstay of ABS-CBN’s award-winning comedy program “Goin’ Bulilit” and of the Anak TV awarded “Biyaheng Bulilit” on Studio 23. Aside from her rising presence in the entertainment industry, Cha-Cha is also a consistent honor student from Diliman Preparatory School. She is currently in the 3rd grade.

In the upcoming WCOPA, Cha-Cha will be representing Team Philippines as a solo vocalist in not just one but in five different categories—namely the Broadway, Pop, Gospel/Inspirational, Open and Original categories. She will be the youngest contestant to represent the country in the competition.

When asked about her upcoming participation, she said, “I’m excited yet nervous, since this is the first competition that I’ll be joining…and in Hollywood at that.” The other things that this trip to the U.S.A. may hold are also stirring up much anticipation for the young star. “I’m also looking forward to see Disneyland and Universal Studios,” said Cha-Cha.

The WCOPA is the only premier international talent competition of its kind held annually in the entertainment capital of the world, Hollywood, California. Participants from over 50 countries will be joining this year’s staging of the competition.

Cha-cha’s stint in this year’s WCOPA is made possible by Camella Homes and Moose Girl.

'Goin' Bulilit' proposes 'joint resolution' with MTRCB

ABS-CBNnews.com
Posted at 08/07/2013 10:38 PM | Updated as of 08/07/2013 10:38 PM

MANILA -- The production team behind the ABS-CBN kiddie gag show "Goin' Bulilit" has submitted its proposed measures to the Movie and Television Review & Classification Board (MTRCB) in "response to the call to protect the best interest of its viewers."

The Kapamilya program submitted the proposal for "the joint resolutions" with the agency on Tuesday.

The measures will have to go through the MTRCB's Ad Hoc Committee.

In a statement released Wednesday, Bong Osorio, ABS-CBN's Head of Integrated Corporate Communications, detailed the measures detailed in the proposal.

They include "the engagement of the services of a child psychologist, consultation with specialists on specific topics of proposed sketches or gags when necessary, and inclusion of appropriate advisories or disclaimers."

"These were formulated in collaboration with the board in response to the call to protect the best interest of its viewers," the statement added.

The team behind "Goin' Bulilit" recently met with the MTRCB to discuss reports that the program allegedly airs scenes "that tend to compromise the innocence of children."

Some scenes were also reported to have dialogue "not friendly to children."

ABS-CBN's statement released Wednesday further said the show "continues to adhere to the highest standards of entertainment without sacrificing the welfare of the general public."

'Goin' Bulilit' hires 2 psychologists for show

The ABS-CBN gag show "Goin' Bulilit" has hired two child psychologists to comply with orders from the Movie and Television and Classification Board (MTRCB) to apply remedial measures to the show following complaints about its alleged non-child-friendly contents.

Cynthia Jordan, the show's production manager told Yahoo! Philippines OMG! that the team of psychologists will meet with the Goin' Bulilit staff on August 13 to discuss the script and determine which parts are harmful and therefore should be taken out.

"We made sure we have enough gags so that we have something left to use should others be removed from the script," Jordan said.

She added that the psychologists wanted to remain anonymous since the highly-publicized case puts them under great pressure not only from the MTRCB but from the public as well.

Meanwhile, MTRCB chair Toto Villareal told Yahoo! Philippines OMG! that his office is formulating a resolution about "Goin' Bulilit."

Jericho Rosales Joins Toda Max, John Lloyd Cruz on Goin Bulilit this Weekend

Posted on September 12, 2013 | 9:54 PM

Matinee idols and highly acclaimed actors John Lloyd Cruz and Jericho Rosales take their acting skills to different places starting this Saturday (September 14), as they take on two of ABS-CBN’s comedy shows, Goin’ Bulilit and Toda Max.

Jericho Rosales Joins Toda Max, John Lloyd Cruz on Goin Bulilit this Weekend

First up would be Jericho as he stars side-by-side with “Toda Max” cast members Angel Locsin, Vhong Navarro, and Ai-Ai delas Alas. In a different take on the popular kiligserye “Be Careful With My Heart”, Jericho will be playing a popular celebrity chef, often referred to as “Sir Chef”, who arrives in Beverly Gils to promote his cooking show, “Be Careful With My Cooking”. Lacking a chef assistant, he hires Justin (Vhong Navarro) to show off his cooking skills. However, when Justin joins Sir Chef behind the scenes, he discovers a secret that could ruin the celebrity chef’s career.

Meanwhile, as a light-hearted reminder to keep safe these days, Lloydie will be part of showing the funny things that could happen when it comes to relief centers and evacuation operations, while having fun with Philippine television’s favorite kids on the hit kiddie gag show “Goin’ Bulilit”. The kids will be delivering gags about the sticky situations that kids and adults can get themselves into—also serving as caution to keep away from harm. He will also be joining Aaliyah Belmoro in the segment “Mutyaya ng Masa” and Clarence Delgado in “How? How? With Islaw”.

In keeping with the current times, “Banana Split: Extra Scoop” also stays up to date this Saturday (September 14), as Melai Cantiveros has some things to say about her relationship and pregnancy. Aside from that, the cast will also be giving their take on the recently concluded Star Magic Ball, and Donya Bading (Jayson Gainza) will be taking on the role of Janet Napoles in the segment “Hot Issue”.

The hit teen series “LUV U” also taps into conflicts that should be resolved, as Marj (Mika dela Cruz) decides that her friends Lexie (Alexa Ilacad) and Shirley (Sharlene San Pedro) should also come to a truce with the boys of the Breakers, Benj (Nash Aguas), Drake (Jairus Aquino) and Archie (Kobi Vidanes). Will the long-running quarrel between the teens finally come to an end and will new relationships finally be formed?

Get loads of laughter with all these and more on ABS-CBN’s comedy shows starting on Saturday (September 14), with “Toda Max” airing back-to-back before “Banana Split: Extra Scoop” after “The Voice of the Philippines”. On Sunday (September 15), catch “Goin’ Bulilit” after “TV Patrol Weekend” and “LUV U” as it airs after “ASAP 18”.

ANGELICA COACHES CHILD STARS

    September 17, 2013 3:58 pm
    admin

Former “Ang TV” child star Angelica Panganiban lends her acting talents to the kids of the hit television gag show “Goin’ Bulilit” this Sunday (September 22).

Even sharing the cute and hilarious “Esmyuskee” segment of “Ang TV” to the show, Angelica has a ton of lessons in gags and sketches to bring to the bulilits. Guesting on Clarence Delgado’s “How? How? I know how with Islaw” segment to a voice lesson in the show’s closing sketch, Angelica is sure to rev up the laughter along with these little comedians in the making.

In the meantime, the cast of the hit teen series “LUV U” does a little learning for themselves as they head over The Mind Museum. However, with Ms. Belo (Cai Cortez), one of the school’s most strict teachers, moderates the out-of-school lesson and the teens find themselves not being able to explore the place. How will Benj (Nash Aguas), Drake (Jairus Aquino), Archie (Kobi Vidanes), Lexie (Alexa Ilacad), Shirley (Sharlene San Pedro) and Marj (Mika dela Cruz) get out of Ms. Belo’s boring lesson so that they can appreciate the wonders of The Mind Museum?

Catch all these and more on the next episodes of “Goin’ Bulilit” and “LUV U” which are set to air on Sunday (September 22). Don’t miss out on “Goin’ Bulilit” which airs after “TV Patrol Weekend” and “LUV U” which airs after “ASAP 18” on ABS-CBN Channel 2.
