Other Networks' TV Talk Confessional (OT)
« on: September 10, 2015, 12:54:27 AM »
We all know that we are all (for the most part) diehard Kapamilya but every now and again we might steer away from ABS and see something on GMA or TV5 or some other local network. What do you watch? Why? Talk about them here, no judgments just talk about it.

I think GMA is really good at making historical dramas, ang ganda nung "Illustrado", ang tagal ko ng gusto gumawa ang ABS ng period drama ung pwedeng "re-imagining" of history lang, instead we got a mediocre "period" drama like Ikaw Lamang (no offense). I wonder what's keeping ABS from doing this?

We have so much history - Chinese era, Spanish era, Japanese era ang daming pwedeng gawing concept, again it doesn't have to be history/fact-based kahit ung period setting lang...

Well I actually like some of those TV5 comedies since we now have Kapatid5 attached to our DirecTV-TFCDirect package. But too much of the PBA replays on their channel and lack of dramas. Also I'll watch anything with Jasmine and Sophie Albert. Vin Abrenica is overrated and Bret Jackson is not a lead in any shape whatsoever.

GMA - I like reality shows so I do tune into Starstruck and of course the new Marimar since my friends Lauren and Megan are the leads :)

I didn't get why she won and barely left an impact on me on HYY. No big loss.

Other Marimar viewers find Megan's acting "dry". Yung malakas ang dating sa SSVI sina Mariam, Kyle, Avery (yes, Paraiso), and the Eskinol Girl Ayra

Well I want ABS to get Amazing Race and Survivor. Does TV5 and GMA respectively still own those franchises?
