Andrew E. plagerizes his songs?
« on: September 22, 2014, 03:23:57 PM »
Hi All,

I watched the episode of Gandang Gabi Vice on 9-21-14 with him interviewing rapper Andrew E. The lyrics and tone to one song he sang souded like a word-for-word translation of "You want to be happy" by US singer Jimmy Soul from the 1960's. I think he was claiming this was an original song of his but it really isn't. Also, another song he says he came up with is actually "Just a Friend" by US rapper Biz Markie in 1989. Was he claiming he came up or wrote these songs because he really did not. The decent thing to do would be to give some credit to the original artists.

Hi,

I also found out the song "Find an ugly woman" by Cash Money Marvelous (1988) may have been the rap version that Andrew E. ripped off. I wasn't the only one who noticed. see link below:

If this guy is making money off these songs without rights to them he should be sued!
