MANILA -- It comes in threes for Andi Eigenmann.
The 22-year-old actress said she is gearing up for three major projects this year -- two movies under Viva Films, and a "fantaserye" to be aired on ABS-CBN.
Eigenmann gleefully related her upcoming projects with ABS-CBN News on Thursday, at the sidelines of the filming of a big-screen remake of the 1983 film "Nagalit ang Buwan sa Haba ng Gabi."
The Andoy Ranay-directed film is the first of three projects Eigenmann will be juggling in the coming months.
"Dito po, anak po ako ni Tito Gabby (Concepcion) at ni Ms. Alice (Dixson). Sobrang opposite po ito sa ginawa kong huli, which is 'A Secret Affair,'" she said.
In the romance-drama film, Eigenmann portrayed an impulsive young woman bent on winning the heart of a committed man.
"Dito naman ('Nagalit ang Buwan sa Haba ng Gabi'), sobrang wala siyang social life, andun lang siya sa bahay, nag-aaral, ginagawa lang niya kung ano ang gusto ng mga magulang niya," she said.
This character, Eigenmann said, offers a contrast to her portrayal in another Viva Films project "Oh My Mamma Mia" where she will star alongside Maricel Soriano, Eugene Domingo and Luis Manzano.
Eigenmann is excited about the comedy film, which had its story conference on Saturday.
Also underway is Eigenmann's return to TV after the recently concluded "Kahit Puso'y Masugatan."
Three years after her breakthrough performance as the title characters in "Agua Bendita," Eigenmann will be playing another classic Pinoy komiks character, Galema, in a "fantaserye" directed by Wenn Deramas.
The character, best remembered for having a two-headed snake on her shoulders, was part of Jim Fernandez's famous Aliwan Komiks series.
Although she has already been informed of her being cast in the role of Zuma's daughter, Eigenmann is cautious about getting her hopes up. "Kahit na nakalatag na, parang hanggang naka-costume na ako, ayoko muna umasa," she said.
Referring to her showbiz commitments currently lined up, the single mom said she had not anticipated that her comeback from her pregnancy would come at this pace.
"Hindi naman ako umasa na tuluy-tuloy agad darating sa akin. Parang sa 'kin, 'yun ang gusto kong mangyari, pero hindi para i-expect ko siya to keep coming and coming," she said.
"I want to work hard for what I do, and I want to show people how dedicated I am to my job," she said.
