Lots of Kapamilya fanatics gathered at the Cinema 3 of SM Megamall yesterday (September 28) for the grand public launch of the 2009 Star Magic catalogue. With Piolo Pascual leading the ribbon-cutting, female fans couldn’t help but go crazy over his heart-melting smile and gorgeous looks. Still busy shooting Star Cinema’s Land Down Under in Bukidnon, the country’s ultimate heartthrob, unfortunately, wasn’t able to stay longer for he is simply swamped with other engagements before heading back to his on-location shoot again.

The crowd’s excitement never wavered though because Roxanne Guinoo—who officially opened the event with Piolo—soon graced the stage together with several of the brightest talents of Star Magic who were equally thrilled to meet and greet the people who have closely followed their rise to stardom. The first batch also included Diether Ocampo, Jake Cuenca, Megan Young, and Rafael Rosell. After circling the gallery of photos featuring Star Magic’s crème of the crop, they enthusiastically signed autographs for the fans who were first to get a copy of the must-have-catalogue of their favorite Kapamilya stars.

Lovely host for the night Nina Dolino of Kitty Girls introduced ex-PBB teen housemates Robi Domingo, Nicole Uysiuseng, Josef Elizalde, Ejay Falcon, and Beauty Gonzales next who gladly welcomed the fans’ request to take some picture-perfect moments with them. Representatives of the Nicole-Josef fan group made their presence known with their overwhelming support for their much-adored love team, much to Nikki and Josef’s delight. The other mall goers were simply wowed by Robi and Ejay’s good looks as well as Beauty’s slimmer figure.

Last but definitely not the least, Coverboys Zanjoe Marudo, Jon Avila, Victor Basa set a lot of pulses racing as they briefly chatted with the ladies who were lucky enough to come up the stage for more autograph-signing and picture-taking. Hot teen love team Matt Evans and Melissa Ricks also joined the group and took their time giving quick updates of their current projects to those who patiently queued just to see them face to face. As the final batch of stars in the event, they gamely agreed to stay quite a while to give chance to the latecomers.

Even the audience who weren’t able to buy the Star Magic catalogue still enjoyed the star-studded event because of the exciting games and raffles that were played in between the stars’ arrival. Many have won fabulous prizes from the event sponsors to top their unforgettable experience in being the first to see the glamorous blowup pictures of their much-loved movie and TV idols, and some of them in the flesh.
