Kahit wala na sila, pinag-iisipan ni Christian Bautista kung ano ang ibibigay sa ex-girlfriend na si Rachelle Ann Go sa Valentine’s Day.
   
Feb. 13 pa lang ay magkasama na sila sa Valentine concert nilang Ol 4 Luv, na gaganapin sa Araneta Coliseum with Erik Santos at Sarah Geronimo.
   
Hindi raw niya alam kung bibigyan niya ng roses ang dating girlfriend o kahit ano’ng something.
   
“Iniisip ko pa nga, eh. I might give her something, pero hindi ko pa talaga alam kung ano,” he said.
   
Two to three months pa lang daw silang naghihiwalay at siyempre, he’s trying to adjust sa present situation nila. Although sa paningin ng iba ay parang walang nabago sa kanilang dalawa, siyempre, alam nilang meron.
   
Sabi nga ni Rachelle, kapag magkasama sila ngayon, kanya-kanyang uwi na sila, unlike before na ihahatid muna siya ni Christian.
   
Hindi na rin daw sila nagte-text-an nang ganu’n kadalas ’di tulad ng dati.
   
“Siyempre, nabawasan na,” sabi pa ni Christian.
   
Nasanay na lang daw kasi sila talaga na magkasamang kumakanta kaya parang wala na sa kanila.
   
“Kahit naman kami pa nu’n, ’pag nag-aaway kami, kumakanta pa rin kami together, so nasanay na kami,” say pa ng singer.
   
Confused pa rin ang marami sa tunay na dahilan ng kanilang break-up dahil ayaw nga nilang sabihin at mas lalo lang kaming nalito sa sinabi ni Christian na kung anuman ang problema nila, the best way to fix it ay maging magkaibigan na lang muna sila.
   
Anyway, sa Ol 4 Luv ay muling kakantahin ng dating mag-sweetheart ang mga love song na kinakanta nila noong sila pa. Para kay Christian, challenging ito.
   
“Challenging, kasi iba na nga ang situation ngayon, kaya iba na ang dating,” say pa niya.

Kagahapon ni Rachelle ug Christian, banhawon

Sa Ol4Luv concert nila ni Sarah Geronimo, Rachelle Ann Go, Christian Bautista ug  Erik Santos sa February 13, masayran sa manan-aw unsa nga mga kanta ang paborito sa kanhi manag-uyab tungod kay kini maoy ilang kantahon.

Giangkon ni Christian ngadto sa Pilipino Star Ngayon nga sila mismo ni Rachelle ang nag-request kung unsa nga mga kanta ang ilang awiton, ug matud pa theme songs nila ang haom para mahinumduman nila ang ilang kagahapon.

"Hindi naman kasi namin sinasabi kung anu-anong songs ang gusto namin, dito sa concert lang namin kakantahin," pasabot pa ni Christian ngadto sa PSN atol sa Ol4Luv presscon.

Dugang pa niya, wala sila magpatagad ni Rachelle dihang gialsa niya ang iyang ex-gf last week sa concert ni Martin Nievera. "Hindi papansin ‘yun, it was Martin's idea na kargahin ko si Rachelle para pampakilig daw sa fans namin, so ginawa namin.

"Besides ginawa ko na rin dati na kargahin siya sa show namin before sa Aliw Theater and sa February 13, baka hindi lang karga ang gagawin ko," pahiyom pa niya.

Hangang-hanga talaga ako kina Christian Bautista at Rachelle Ann Go dahil sa kabila ng pangyayaring hindi na sila, as in split na, hiwalay na, wala  nang relasyon, nagagawa pa rin nilang makapagtrabaho ng parang sila pa rin. Kaya nga lahat ng rehearsals and practices na may kinalaman sa kanilang Ol 4 Luv concert na magaganap bukas sa Araneta Coliseum at kung saan ay makakasama nila sina Sarah Geronimo at Erik  Santos all went on smoothly, walang hassle.

“Talaga pong wala na kami but we’re still friends,” paliwanag ni Rachelle Ann na ayaw kong paniwalaan dahil para sa akin ang mga naghihiwalay na magkarelasyon, mag-asawa man o magkasintahan lamang ay hindi kapani-paniwala na maging magkaibigan uli, nag-uusap ng parang walang nangyari.

Para sa akin, ang ex-boyfriend or   ex-husband will always remain that—ex something.

Sina Christian at Rachelle, parang hindi naghiwalay,  marami pa rin silang shows together.

Sa 14, 15 at 16, may mga V-shows pa rin sila.

“Talaga pong wala na kami, hindi lang kami halata but it took me time to get over it, to move on.

“Wala po kaming pinagkagalitan, walang other people involved. Dumating na lang po ang time  that we both decided na  huwag na lang, hindi pa tama ang panahon,” dagdag pa ni Rachelle who promises na kung sa friendship nila ay walang nagbago, ganundin sa magiging performances nila sa Ol 4 Luv.

In fairness, full-packed ang Araneta Coliseum noong gabi ng concert, 0l 4 Luv, featuring Sarah Geronimo, Rachelle Ann Go, Christian Bautista and Erik Santos the other night.        
   
The crowd represented all age brackets, bagama’t siyempre pa, mas lamang ang mga nanonod na ka-edad ng apat, who are all in their 20s, except for Sarah, who is only 19.
   
It was our first time to watch and listen to Rachelle Ann perform in a big venue  na ’di lang siya guest, kundi one of the major performers.
   
Didn’t know she has such a powerful voice, so much so, huwag naman ipagdamdam ni Sarah and company, Rachelle Ann, wika nga, nearly stole the thunder from her sa kanilang duet of songs popularized by Barbra Streisand and another popular international singer.
   
Parang walang ka-effort-effort si Rachelle Ann singing her songs.
   
No wonder that some senior singers allegedly referred to her as the best   among her contemporaries.
   
Keep up the good work, Rachelle Ann!

KUNG sabagay, bumawi naman si Sarah in her solo numbers, lalo na when she started belting out a medley of love songs that started with If I Fall In Love.
   
Kaya lang, ’di kami pabor sa sinabi ni Sarah na kapag edad 35 at ’di pa rin siya makakapag-nobyo, papasok na lang siya sa kumbento.
   
Sarah, you don’t join a congregation just because desperate ka for love. You become a nun because the Lord has not just called for you, but has chosen you to fully serve Him.
   
Christian’s repertoire, meanwhile, was tamang-tama lang sa kanyang voice. Distinct ang pamamaraan ng pag-awit niya, dahil kahit ’di mo siya pinanonood, kapag narinig mo na ang kanyang pagkanta, alam mo kaagad na si Christian iyon.
   
But, of course, he could not match the powerful and very melodious voice of ex-GF Rachelle Ann, kaya, iilan lang ang kanilang numbers together.
   
Erik, on the other hand, appeared to be in his element that night. Was it because of the presence of Rufa Mae Quinto, who cried like a baby when Erik went down the stage just to embrace her while he was rendering a number?
   
But Rufa Mae, in a chit chat with Ricky Lo, said that she will soon have an official boyfriend who is a foreigner.
   
Also spotted in the audience were Piolo Pascual, Maja Salvador and ABS-CBN bigwigs Cory Vidanes and Deo Endrinal.

VANCOUVER - It was astonishing, the way Filipino singing champions Sarah Geronimo, Rachelle Ann Go, Mark Bautista and Christian Bautista were welcomed with so much warmth by the people of Vancouver, B.C. in Canada last March 1. It was even more elating to find them performing on the stage of the Center for the Performing Arts in the heart of the city. Filled to capacity by an enthusiastic audience, the former home of such memorable productions as Sunset Boulevard and Ragtime, became witness to a rousing show.

Even more amazing was the fact that so many people turned out on what was truly a cold winter night to watch kids whom they had already seen before. And with many of them paying the top price of $100 for the choice seats. That was why the show was titled The Return of the Champions. All of the stars had already performed there during the past two or three years. But I have to say that the Fil-Canadians so enjoyed their earlier visits and decided not to miss this one. Given how much fun they had, I am very sure they will be there again for a third or fourth time.

To the Champions' credit, they spared nothing to give the audience their money's worth. I honestly lost count of the number of songs they performed given the fact that several were overlong medleys. But you know how Pinoys are, be they homegrown or Canada residents, the more songs they get, the more they love the show and they certainly got their fill during that evening.

Sarah's contribution in this regard was a medley of songs by Air Supply but even these big-selling pop standards were no match to her own hits. The crowd marveled over how much she sounded like Celine Dion, first in her duet of Tell Him with Rachelle Ann and later in her rendition of her award-winning piece, I'll Be Waiting for You which launched her to stardom. But the showstopper of them all was her Forever's Not Enough. It was here that the audience, who, by the way, could not help but ooh and aah at her gorgeous gowns, gave her a standing ovation.

Rachelle Ann was in fine voice throughout. It was also a special occasion of sorts for the Search for a Star champ because it marked the premiere of songs from her new album Rachelle Ann Rocks. The live recording has her doing rock favorites and it was most impressive to watch her put her own pop spin to REO Speedwagon's The Search is Over, Aerosmith's Crying and Amy Grant's That's What Love is For. There was of course a duet with Christian. Now, the love may have already ended for these two. But the chemistry definitely remains and their medley of heartbreaking Somewhere songs was most beautiful and one of the highlights of the evening.

Christian and Mark, the Bautista boys, although not in any way related, were both on top of their game. Christian was cute, bumbling and funny. Mark was sexy, sweet and also funny. His hot medley of dance tunes brought the house down.

I am sure that the champions wanted to spend their time basking in their Vancouver triumph, but this was not to be. They had to leave on an early morning trip to Edmonton the next day, Sunday, March 2 for another show. Then there came Calgary on March 7, Winnipeg on March 9, Toronto on March 14 and to end the Canada tour, Montreal on March 16. These dates will be followed by more stints in the US. These are San Jose in California on March 22, Houston, Texas on March 28 and Anaheim, also in California on March 29.

MANILA, Philippines—Just last week, it was all systems go for Jolens' movie with Gabby Concepcion. All of a sudden, Gabo backed out of the project. An insider claims: "Biglang nag-inarte si Gabby. Kung kailan ready na lahat, nag-e-mail siya making more demands than what was agreed upon. He wants a bigger role and better billing. He's questioning why dumami ang cast. He wants the script to be revised para siya ang pinakabida sa movie."

It seems Gabo is caught in a time warp, that's why he feels like he's still a hot matinee idol. The movie's crew ought to call him Grabe Kunsumisyon instead of Gabby Concepcion!

Ayon kay Rachelle Ann Go, hindi pa raw sila nagkakabalikan ni Christian Bautista hanggang ngayon.         Pero  sila naman ang laging magkasama  tulad sa recent U.S. tour nila na napaka-successful. Super gusto sila ng fans nila sa States na umabot na raw ng ilang balikbayan boxes ang mga regalong ibinigay ng mga ito sa kanila, kasama na dito ang ilang mahahaling alahas!

Speaking of gifts, ang pinakapaboritong regalo raw  na natanggap niya from  Christian ay ang  Louie Vuitton bag na nagkakahalaga ng $800 (P32,000). Napakahilig daw kasi niya sa bags at ‘yung LV bag na ‘yun na binigay sa kanya ni Christian ang pinakapaborito niya.

Kahit hindi pa raw sila nagkakabalikan ni Christian ay wala naman daw dapat ipag-alala ang huli kasi wala naman daw ibang taong nagpapatibok ng puso niya. Sa katunayan, sa dinamirami raw na kasama niya sa ASAP ’08 ay hindi siya  naa-attract kahit kanino.

Ni-released na ng Viva Records ang latest cd niya na Rachelle Ann Rocks Live na ni-record pa niya nang live sa 19 East Parañaque.         Naglalaman ito ng 13 pop-rock favorites kung saan ang  Honestly  ng Harem Scarem ang carrier single. Pantapat ito sa  Just A Love Song…Christian Bautista Live  ng ex-BF niya.
