As for my suggestion, other countries have ventured on the Big Brother: The Battle, again, there is a division between poor and rich, but this time, 2 groups of housemates will fight for the right to live in the luxurious half of the house.

Or a variation of this would be the gender fight, wherein the house will be divided into the ALL MALE and ALL FEMALE houses. Hence, there will be a need for two houses, or at least two simple quarters complete with all basic materials for living. The two sets will fight and for the first few days (or week), they won't have an idea that the other gender actually existed in the house, unless come eviction time, when one male and one female will be evicted. (This also employs the 1st day nominations, where each group will nominated people from their own group to be up for eviction). The next weeks might be a battle between the genders, on who will lose a member.

Example, the males lose. The males will have to nominate from their own group to be up for eviction. If however, both teams lose, or both teams win, then there will be a nomination for both groups (each group nominating only people from their own group). This way, the people will get to see how people react with regards to group camaraderie. This also gives a chance for management to at least control the number of gender HMs per gender eliminated.

The challenges may be in the form of the Weekly Tasks.

PBB/PDA to face off with Pinoy Idol

 

When GMA’s Pinoy Idol launches in June, it will deal with not one but two reality shows from ABS-CBN, that is, Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 and Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition (Season 2). How is this possible when ABS-CBN has only one facility for such a show, the Big Brother house in front of the ELJ Communications Center in Quezon City? The buzz is ABS-CBN is currently building a new reality show facility outside Metro Manila. This will allow it to conduct both shows simultaneously to be aired one after the other, of course. This is what is called in Marketing Warfare as the frontal attack, of fighting the competitor with similar logistics. This means that while GMA has finished airing Pinoy Idol, ABS-CBN is still airing one of its two reality shows. Most likely, viewers will stay with ABS-CBN as both shows present human interest to the max unlike Pinoy Idol which is primarily a singing contest. Two Ryans, Cayabyab as headmaster and Agoncillo as host, will be at the helm of PDA 2. Raymond Gutierrez will host Pinoy Idol.

Kuya's back!

Kuya's very thankful to all those who have auditioned for Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus here and abroad. And finally, he's making rounds this week to give away 30 Dream Keys to the 30 Teen Edition Plus hopefuls around the globe. Of course, Kuya already has a condition to the lucky receipients of these keys -- they must not breathe a word about it or else! Gosh, how can you keep a secret as big as that?

Well, Kuya's really big on secrets and he's letting one out of the bag. Toni Gonzaga, Bianca Gonzalez, and Mariel Rodriguez will be joined by their pal Luis Manzano to host the show this season. PBB's a growing family and Luis is very estatic to be a part of it. So don't be surprised if you will be seeing his face on Primetime Bida soon!

So, are you ready for the new Teen Edition? Mark your calendars already as PBB Teen Edition Plus begins its primer on March 16, 2008 (Sunday), and ushers the new teen housemates on March 23, 2008, Easter Sunday.

Excited na naman ako sa pagbabalik muli ni Kuya! Napanood ko kc ung teaser plug kahapon sa "The Buzz" ung tungkol sa bagong task niya na magbibigay cya ng 30 Dream Keys sa 30 Teen Housemate hopefuls (ang dami na 2loy nila ngaun), tapos ang sabi daw, hindi daw puwedeng ipaalam sa iba ung tungkol sa bagay na yun. Grabe yun, ha? Baka maging tourist attraction na rin ang Bahay ni Kuya (Big Brother House) dahil pagdating ng launching ng PBB Teen Edition Plus on March 23 (3 weeks from now) ay tiyak dudumugin na naman ng mga tao lalo na ung mga Kuyanatics (PBB fanatics) dyan!

It is inferred from Direk Laurenti Dyogi's statement in TV Patrol World that the 30 selected housemates are not the final list of housemates, not just yet.

He said that they will still have their final casting here in Manila. They will be given a giant key and an instructions on when they will fly to Manila for the said final casting. Is this really it? Or is Direk Lauren implying something else?
