Jose Mari Chan nahugyaw ni Sheryn

Bilib kaayo ang sikat nga  singer-composer nga si Jose Mari Chan sa talento sa  Star In A Million runner-up nga si Sheryn Regis.

Tsika niya ngadto sa PangMasa nanindog gayud ang mga  balhibo niya sa dihang iyang nadunggan gikanta ni Sheryn ang usa sa mga gisuwat niya nga awit--Constant Change.

"It happened in ASAP a few years back when they gave me an award. Lahat ng singers nila came out to sing my songs. Then I heard this petite Cebuana singer singing Constant Change. It have me goose bumps dahil ang galing naman niya. I never heard anybody else sing that song except me.

"Kaya sinabi ko na the next time I have a show, I will get Sheryn as my guest because she sings my song very well. At damang-dama mo ang pagkanta niya ng song. She's such a talented singer," butyag pa ni Jose Mari Chan

Tungod niini, sa nagkaduol na nga two-night Valentine's Day show niya sa Music Museum titled A Heart's Journey, si Sheryn ang iyang  special guest.

"We will have a duet of my song Please Be Careful With My Heart and she will sing her songs as well.

Also in my show, they will hear the familiar Jose Mari Chan songs such as Afterglow, Afraid For Love To Fade, Can't We Start Over Again, Just Stop And Talk A While, Beautiful Girl and others. I will also sing new songs coming from my new album Love Letters & Other Souvenirs," panapos sa singer.

A month ago raw, nang binigyan ng special award ng ASAP si Jose Mari Chan at pinakanta ang lahat ng singers ng Sunday party show ng ABS, sa isang si-nger lang siya na-impress talaga, kay Sheryn nga, nang kinanta nito ang Constant Change.  Promise ni Jose Mari, someday he will work with her. Natuloy na nga dahil after six or seven years, magbabalik Valentine concert si Jose Mari sa Music Museum on Feb. 13 and 14 at si Sheryn lang ang special guest. Titled A Heart’s Journey, this is produced by Dome Events Production and Dental First in cooperation with Oriental Assurance Corporation.

MANILA, Philippines―When I don't have work, I just stay home. I don’t have a nightlife! I usually just chat online, play games on the Sony PlayStation, watch TV, or paint. I also vocalize with the videoke mic in the living room every day. The sala was given a makeover on (Charlene Gonzalez’s old lifestyle show) “At Home Ka Dito.” The sofa and scented candles were gifts from the show. I also display my gold and platinum awards and Awit trophy in the living room. I like it here. It’s very relaxing, as if I’m back in Cebu.

Sheryn Regis part of TV series "Utoy"

Pop singer and actress Sheryn Regis confirmed that she is part of ABS-CBN's television series "Utoy", along with child actor Makisig Morales and the country's King of Comedy- Dolphy.

"Mayroon... parang fantaserye comedy," Regis told abs-cbnNEWS.com inside the ABS-CBN compound.

Regis has already worked with Dolphy, and she said she is very happy and overwhelmed by the chance to work with the veteran actor.

"Working with Dolphy ang galing iyong impromptu may maiisip siya agad para sa iyo na comedy, at saka hindi siya mahirap kausap at hindi siya mahirap katrabaho talagang (ang galing). With high respect talaga. Siya pa ang nagjo-joke sa iyo pero ang respeto mo kasi legend na iyan at saka ang galing, super ang tingin ko kay Dolphy walang halong biro," Regis added.

The singer shared that former Miss Universe Gloria Diaz is also part of the project.

Regis said the series is inspired by the classic children's tale "Pinocchio."

"Maganda siya kasi parang fantaserye iyon at the same time parang nire-revive ang isang fairy tale," she added.

Sheryn Regis or Sheryn Mae Poncardas Regis in real life was a consistent top scorer of ABS-CBN's 2004's "Search for the Star in a Million" but she eventually became a runner-up to Erik Santos.

She was the voice behind the hits "Come In Out of the Rain, "Kailan Kaya," "Sabihin Mo Sa Akin and "Hindi Ko Kayang Iwan Ka."

In early 2008, Regis was chosen to cover singer Regine Velasquez's "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw" for the official soundtrack of "Maging Sino Ka Man: Ang Pagbabalik."

October of last year, Regis was given her first major dual acting role as a fairy godmother and an evil witch who are twin sisters in "Love Spell's Cindyrella", starring young actress Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson.

Aside from being a mainstary in the weekly variety show ASAP '08, Regis is busy with her out of the town gigs. She will be doing a show this May in the US, and will have a European tour in October.
