Karong nga 23-anyos na siya, wish ni Aiza Seguerra ang magka-baby, tungod kay buot niya nga masinati ang mopahimugso og bata, ingon man ang kalipay nga matagamtan sa usa ka inahan samtang anaa pa sa sabakan niini ang bata.

Gawas pa wish usab sa iyang mommy ang makabaton og apo nga gikan ni Aiza.

Mapasalamaton na lang si Aiza tungod kay dili na niya kinahanglang makighilawas og lalaki, tungod kay dunay gitawag nga via artificial insemination.

Wala malalilong,ug mapasigarbohon si Aiza nga tomboy siya.

Aiza Seguerra finds herself so busy in various media. On TV, she’s in "Ysabella" with Judy Ann Santos. In the movies, she’s doing "Enteng Kabisote" for the Metro filmfest. In recording, she has recorded a beautiful song for Jomari Chan’s new album and is also doing a full album for Star Records with which she signed up recently. But the project that excites her the most is her venture on stage in the award-winning Broadway musical, "Avenue Q," where she plays Gary Coleman, the former child actor of "Different Strokes" who has had several brushes with the law. She can relate to it as she’s a former child star herself, but she finds it very challenging to play the role of a man.

"The play itself is very exciting," she says. "It’s a combination of real actors and puppets. The lead character is a puppet, Princeton, played by Felix Rivera, who’s torn between the monster next door, Kate, and a sexy singer, Lucy T. ***. Both Kate and Lucy are played by Rachel Alejandro and I’m happy to work with her here, along with Frenchie Dy as Christmas Eve and Joel Trinidad as Nicky and Trekkie Monster. As Gary Cole-man, I get to sing about loud *** in the show."

"Avenue Q" won the 2004 Tony Award for best musical and is still being shown in Broadway and London’s West End. The Manila production, directed by Bobby Garcia and Chari Arespacochaga, is the first staging of the musical in Asia.

"I fell in love with the show the first time I heard its soundtrack on CD," says Bobby, who recently directed the acclaimed Broadway Asia tour of "The King & I." "We’ve gathered the best talents for the show and they’re so dedicated as it’s not easy to sing and act with a puppet on your arm."

"Avenue Q" will run from September 7 to 23 at the Carlos Romulo Auditorium at RCBC Plaza, Makati. For tickets, call Atlantis Productions at 892-7078 or Ticketworld at 891-9999. HANDA ngang magbuntis si Aiza Seguerra. Sa presscon ng kanyang bagong album, ang Para Lang Sa’yo, na prodyus ng Star Records, sinabi ni Aiza na plano talaga niya ang magka-baby, pero medyo malabo pa raw `yon sa ngayon.

Mauunsyami nga umano ang pagbubuntis niya, dahil magiging abala siya sa trabaho, lalo na at may bago nga siyang album.

Sabi pa ni Aiza, bata pa rin naman daw siya, kaya malaki pa ang tsansa niya na maging isang ina.

"Napag-uusapan at nasa plano talaga. Pero, masyado pa akong busy ngayon, kaya hindi pa puwedeng mangyari. Kung puwede, bukas na lang (ako magbubuntis)," pangiti-ngiting say niya.

Katuwiran pa ni Aiza, katuparan ng pangarap o fulfillment ng kahit na sinong babae ang maging ina. At gusto rin niyang pagbigyan ang kanyang mga magulang na magkaroon ng apo sa kanya.

Nagulat lang si Aiza nang may magtanong sa kanya kung totoong si Piolo Pascual ang nire-request niya na maging donor niya para maging tunay na ina na siya.

"Ha? May ganu`n ba? Walang ganu`n. Hindi ko alam `yon! Hindi naman namin napag-uusapan kung sinong lalake or what. Wala talagang ganu`n," sabi ni Aiza.

Sa paglulunsad pa rin ng album ni Aiza, humanga nang husto ang entertainment press sa kanya. Kakaiba naman kasi talaga ang husay niya sa pagkanta, na ang boses niya ay walang katulad kung pagandahan din lang ang pag-uusapan. Panay nga ang palakpak ng mga manunulat sa bawat hirit ni Aiza.

Siyanga pala, kasama rin sa album ni Aiza ang pinasikat na kanta noon ni Didith Reyes, ang Bakit Ako Mahihiya. Malaking challenge daw `yon kay Aiza, lalo na at hindi naman niya inabutan ang kasikatan ni Didith noon.

Kilala ring seksing singer si Didith, na may kalandian ang tinig. At sabi ni Aiza, medyo binago lang niya ang pag-atake sa kanta ni Didith, na may konting kalandian din at binagalan ng konti, para maiba naman.

Aiza gusto nang mabuntis

GUSTO nang maging ganap na babae ni Aiza Seguerra. At meron siyang paraan para gawin ito na hindi nagsusuot ng damit babae, nagme-make-up at nagkakaroon ng boyfriend.

Matagal na kasing kinukulit si Aiza ng nanay niya kung kailan ito magkakaroon ng baby. Nakukulele na ang tenga ni Aiza kaya nag-promise siya sa nanay niya na bibigyan niya ito ng apo. Kaya lang, hindi pa raw ngayon. Baka raw sa susunod pang tatlong taon.

“Sabi nga nila, magiging kumpleto lang ang pagkababae mo kapag nagbuntis ka at nagkaroon ng anak. At ‘yon ang gusto kong gawin. Pero hindi ako makikipagtalik sa lalaki,” pahayag niya.

Ibig sabihin, mag-a-undergo si Aiza ng artificial insemination. Bongga!

Ayaw nang idetalye pa ni Aiza ang tungkol sa kanyang plano. Basta darating na lang daw ‘yung time na magiging masaya ang nanay niya dahil magkakaroon na ito ng apo from her.

Samantala, may bagong album si Aiza under Star Records na ang title ay Para Lang Sa ‘Yo (Songs inspired by Ysabella). Kasama sa album ang mga kantang Huwag Mong Iwan Ang Puso (theme song ng Ysabella), ang mga revivals na I’ll Be There For You, Bakit Ako Mahihiya, carrier single na Para Lang Sa ‘Yo, Walang Sayang, Mahagkan Kang Muli at marami pang iba.

“This is a whole new experience for me at happy ako sa album na ito. Nagbabalik ako sa first love ko, ang singing, kaya sana lahat ng tumatangkilik sa Pinoy music, ma-appreciate kung ano ang mga ginawa namin para sa project na ito,” sabi pa ni Aiza.

MAY bagong album under Star Re-cords si Aiza Se-guerra titled  Para Sa ‘Yo (Songs Inspired by Ysabella) na inilunsad noong Huwebes sa Packo’s Grill.             Nagkaroon ng mini-concert si Aiza as she rendered several cuts from the album.  Walong kanta rin ang inawit niya, including the title track at ang theme song ng Ysabella  na Huwag Mong Iwan ang Puso.
   
Kinanta rin niya ang Sa ‘Yo Lamang, na sabi  niya, is her favorite song in the album.
   
Comment ng mga press people, napakaganda ng boses ni Aiza at suwabeng-suwabe ang dating ng kanyang pag-awit. Smooth  and soothing. Napakasarap pakinggan ni Aiza sa kanyang pagkanta. Bagay ta-laga sa kanya ang bansag na acoustic superstar.
   
Nabitin lang kami kasi hindi kinanta nang buo ni Aiza ang Didith Reyes hit na Bakit Ako Mahihiya.

Sa interview kay Aiza Seguerra noon, nabanggit ang pangalan ni Derek Ramsay, bilang sponsor o donor ng semilya, sa plano niyang pagbubuntis.

Nasabi nga ni Aiza na ang mga tipo ng lalake ni Derek ang gugustuhin niyang maging donor sa plano niyang artificial insemination. Pero, hindi niya sinabi na si Derek mismo ang gusto niya.

"Ayoko rin naman. Unang-una, magkaibigan kami. Magkakaroon pa ng problema ‘yan. Baka magkaroon pa ng moral obligation.

"Mas maganda ‘yung hindi mo kilala para makaiwas doon sa posibleng paghahabol, just in case, ‘di ba?

"Atsaka, ayoko pa rin talaga. Kumbaga, napag-usapan lang. Bata pa ako. Marami pa akong dapat gawin," sabi ni Aiza.

Si Jason Abalos na kasama ni Aiza sa Ysabella ay payag na payag magbigay ng semilya kay Aiza. Ang binata nga mismo ang nag-volunteer sa sarili niya.

"Oo nga, eh. Nahiya nga si Jason, dahil parang mali raw ang pasok niya. Sabi ko naman, okey lang."

Siyanga pala, ngayon lang nakakahinga ng konti si Aiza sa kanyang trabaho. Pero, siguradong mapapasabak din siya agad sa panibagong trabaho, lalo na at nailabas na ang album niyang Para Lang Sa’yo ng Star Records.

Ang ganda-ganda ng album ni Aiza at siguradong magugustuhan talaga ito ng mga fans niya.

Sabi ni Aiza, masaya siya sa Star Records, bagama’t medyo natagalan bago natapos ang album na ito.

"Naghintay lang ako ng tamang oras at panahon. Ang Star Records, nu`ng mag-usap kami, after a few weeks, ginawa namin agad ang album.

Sana lahat ng al­bum launching ng recording ar­tists ng Star Re­cords ay katulad ng kay Aiza Se­guer­ra na ma­ga­ling, maga­gan­da ang selec­tion ng kanta at higit sa lahat, na­pa­ka­gan­da ng boses, sabi nga ng lahat ng du­ma­long entertain­ment press sa nasabing launch­­ing, “Walang ku­pas talaga si Aiza, para kang ipinaghehele sa boses.”

Oo naman, kaya ang swerte talaga ng Star Records dahil may na­ku­ha uli silang gold­mine in the person of Aiza at for the record din, ilang araw palang naka-out ang “Para lang Sa ‘Yo” album niya ay selling like hot cakes na ayon sa taga-Star Records.

“Lumalabas nga silang hindi ako kasama lalo na kapag busy ako.  Okey nga sa akin ‘yun kasi tsika sila,” nakangi­ting sabi ni Aiza.

At inamin din ng sing­er/actress na never na pinagselosan ni Chen ang love-interest niya sa Ysabella na si Sitti dahil wala naman daw talaga, “Friends lang kami ni Sit­ti, hindi kami super-clo­se, katrabaho lang,” kat­wiran pa sa amin.

Inamin ni Aiza Seguerra na hindi pa niya naiisip maging ng kanyang ka-partner ang magpakasal.

Ayon kay Aiza, hindi pa nila naiisip ang nasabing bagay kung kaya’t hindi pa nila tanggap ang mga payo sa kanila ng kanilang mga kaibigan.

Samantala, okey lamang din kay Aiza kung magkakaanak sa lalake ang kanyang kapartner na si Chen.

Ayon sa singer, hindi niya puwedeng pigilan kung gustuhin man nitong magkaroon ng sariling anak, ngunit ngayon umano ay wala naman itong sinasabi sa kanya.

Aiza, pangarap maging P.A.

Mababaw  lang ang kali­ga­­yahan ni Aiza Se­guerra dahil tinanong namin siya kung ano pa ang gusto niyang maka­mit sa buhay.

“Gusto kong maging PA (production assistant) pero hindi personal ala­lay huh! Gusto ko ring kumuha ng Criminology pero hindi yung pulis kundi criminal technician. Nawala na kasi ako sa interes sa industrial design,” aniya.

Seven years old si Aiza nang malaman ng inang may ibubuga siya sa pag-awit kaya pina­kuha ito ng voice lesson. Grade VI naman siya nang nauso ang banda at natuto siyang tumug­tog ng gitara. Hindi siya nagsisi­ garilyo kaya si­guro na-maintain ang ma­gan­dang boses.

Dalawang semester itong nag-enroll sa UP Conservatory of Music at kumuha din ng Musika sa UST hanggang mag-shift ng Fine Arts.

Aiza Seguerra is bent on finding a sperm donor

	Aiza Seguerra is ready for motherhood

FORMER child-wonder-turned-singing- sensation Aiza Seguerra tells Life & Times that she is dead serious in getting pregnant. Seguerra, who has come out in the open regarding her true sexual preference, confirms that she is indeed on the lookout for a sperm donor to make her dream of becoming a mom a reality.

"Oh yes, I'm serious about it. It's important that the donor has good genes, is relatively young and healthy. If he is mestizo, then that's a bonus!" she exclaims, adding, "importante rin siguro na matangkad siya, di ba?"

Like American television host Ellen de Generes, Seguerra was able to put her "*** admission" into good use. After the phenomenal success of her hit single "Pagdating ng Panahon," Seguerra finally found her niche in the business, and that is to be a musical artist of high caliber. In fact, she has also successfully stretched her artistic wings to conquer even musical theater.

We caught her at the recent staging of Atlantis Production's hilarious musical Avenue Q where Seguerra played Gary Coleman (of the Different Strokes fame) and she didn't only hit her notes really well, she was so in character.

The people in Star Records were able to convince Seguerra to find time to record a new CD. After almost four years since her last album, Seguerra says she got excited again when she heard the potential compositions for this new CD. "I have to get excited. Doing an album is so much like falling in love. Dapat may kilig, dapat excited ka to go to recording," she makes a parallelism.

Admitting that she is still very much inspired and in love with a special lady, Seguerra adds that a baby will not only complete her but also allow her to grow up and be really responsible.

Her latest CD is Para Lang Sa'Yo, and the hard-nosed music critics have already given it a two thumbs up! There are some wonderful covers and Seguerra certainly gave these her signature touch and texture.

We particularly liked her version of "I'll Be There For You" originally sung by Martin Nievera, and we were elated to hear her cover of Didith Reyes's "Bakit Ako Mahihiya." Seguerra also composed a song in collaboration with award-winning Mike Villegas.

"Music is my business, not show business," she clarifies. "And I'll continue singing and composing songs until I become a mother and get old. Hopefully, I'll be able to find the best candidate to donate his sperm for my future baby."

STAR RECORDS has just released Aiza Seguerra’s latest album, entitled “Para Lang Sa yo” (Songs inspired by Ysabella). The album is a compilation of original songs and remakes. As the trademark of the former child star’s music (this is her sixth album, so far), emotions brim in every song.

Most of the songs are familiar to viewers of “Ysabella,” because Aiza has sung them on ABS-CBN’s teleserye. Worth mentioning is “Huwag Mong Iwan ang Puso,” which PDA big winner Yeng Constantino originally sang. The album also contains Aiza’s version of “I’ll Be There for You,” originally performed by Martin Nievera. There’s also her surprise version of the ditty, “Bakit Ako Mahihiya?”

Aiza confessed that she was, at first, hesitant to sing “Bakit Ako Mahihiya?” Explained she: “It’s so identified with Didith Reyes and I’m scared to compare my voice with hers. But then, it is supposedly the theme song of Tita Gina (who plays her mom in the teleserye) so I had no choice but to sing it.”

Other would-be hits in the album are “Persistent Rain” by Christian Martinez and lyrics by Cynthia Roque, “Walang Sayang” by Moy Ortiz, “Mahagkan Kang Muli” by Nyoy Volante, and “Kasama” by Ricky Sanchez. “Sana Di Puro Lang Sana,” which is also in the album, is a song which Aiza composed with Mike Villegas.
