meteor garden is the original??
i think what you said is nonesense coz first & foremost
allow me to enlighten you.. everything started with the Japanese shojo
manga series written by yoko kamio titled boys over flowers or hana yori dango. then it was published on a weekly
magazine then to an anime. On the year 1995 (correct me if im mistaken)
japan made a movie based on the manga hana yori dango and in some time
of 2003 taiwan bought the rights to make it as meteor garden, and
as we all know it became as great hit but METEOR GARDEN IS DEFINITELY
BASED ON THE MANGA WRITTEN BY YOKO KAMIO. then the MG 1 became a
great hit wih more than 20 episode for the first season. since the MG1
is a great hitthey made MG2, same as MG1it has more than 20 episodes
making a total of more than 40 episode for the whole drama. In the year
2005 japanalso make the manga into a live action seies, with the
original title Hana yori dango, with 9 episodes for season 1 and 11 for
the 2nd season.making a total og 20 episode for the whole jdorama.
now lets judge the characters:
tsukushi makino:
TWdrama: barbie Hsu (25 yrs. old during MG1) (shancai)- from the duo S.O.S
Jdorama: Inoue Mao (18 yrs old during HYD) ( makino tsukushi)- has earned four acting stints in such a young age.
verdict:
I think inoue mao portrayed makino wayyy better than barbie because i
think barbie can't act well ( for barbie fans I think she dont have the
chemistry with jerry and her actions are very stiff) unlike mao she is
very versatile, happy, sad, caringroles name it and you'll have it.
Domyoji tsukasa:
TWdrama:
jerry yan ( 24 ) ( dao ming si)- worked as model before MG1, part of
group f4 which is popular in taiwan, philippines, singapore,
malaysia, thailand and indonesia.
Jdorama: Jun matsumoto ( 22 ) (
domyoji tsukasa )- started in johnny's entertainment in 1996 and debuted as member of jpop group arashi w/c is popular in
hawaii, japan, taiwan, korea, thailand, hongkong, paris ( said by
ninomiya).
verdict:
matsujun of course because jerrys acting is still raw at that time and
MG1 is his first drama unlike matsujun, starred in numerous drama
before HYD like Gokusen 1 as sawada shin, kimi wa petto as momo/ goda
takeshi, kindachi as kindachi, and his latest bambino as bambi/ ban
shogo, and movies like boku wa imoto as yori, tokyo tower and many
more!.and matsujun is also very versatile from cool & smart sawada
to a pet momo,to as the leader of f4 and now as a chef.
Hanazawa rui:
TWdrama: Vic zhou ( 20 )( hua ze lei )- actor, singer, commercial model. of group f4
Jdorama: Oguri Shun (22) ( hanazawa rui)- actor starred in many jdorama like stand ip! GTO, gokusen and many more
verdict:
though shun's acting is good in HYD but i think he doesnt suits as
hanazawa rui because i think he is not as mysterious enough as vic. so
vic would be great as arui hanazawa.
Sojiroh nishikado:
TW drama: ken chu ( 22 ) ( xi men)- singer composer and part of f4.
Jdorama:
matsuda shota ( 19 ) ( sojiroh nishikado )- actor and is fluent in both
english and japanese language because he studied in england.
verdict: they are just the same they're play boy image is damn good!
mimasaka akira:
TWdrama: Vanness wu ( 23 ) ( mei zuo) - speaks fluent eng. & mandarin, and currently formed a duo with kangTa.
Jdorama: tsuyoshi abe ( 23) ( mimasaka akira)- speaks luent japanese and mandarin.
Verdict:
both because they both portrayed good acting skills but for th MG i
cant see the difference between xi men and mei zuo unlike akira and
sojiroh one fond of 10 years older while the other one prefers younger,
and now for the finalk verdict:
hana yori dango or meteor garden?
Hana
yori dango!! because though it is short the sense of the stort is still
there, and it is much closer to hte manga. while meteor garden
was very very long and some of it are just nonesense like most of the
part in meteor garden 2, and the acting of the taiwanese f4 is raw and
exaggerating!! but they say that how can matsujun be the leader
of f4 if his height is just 173 cm, and jerry's is 180cm. an that all
f4's height is above 180cm. ( but i think it is impossible to have 4
different person that when stand side by side some are shorter to say
that all the member's height is 180, naybe its the average). and
matsujun and inoue mao have some chemistry so that makes hanadan better
than MG.

closing song- MG1- ni yao de ai by penny tai
MG2- seasons of fireworks by F4
For hanadan
opening song-HYD1- wish by ARASHI

HYD2- flavors of love by utada hikaru
verdict:HANDAn
because it is more catchy and ithink it suits th e drama well having a
happy, cool and catchy song then for san moments to have the
planetarium..thatsjust great sugoiii!!
all of those
are on my opinion and im not even hooked up with the meteor garden
series but ive got hooken with the hana yori dango, and the awesome
theme songs. by arashi, utada hilkaru and otsuka ai.
